Y-Chromosome Testing According to Dr. Monte Miller, "Y-Chromosomal is used when you have a mixture of male-female but the male is low, so it is hard to get an accurate read of the male profile. This test has lower statistics, but tests only ofor [sic] male DNA. Good test to use in sexual assault cases." (Interview) "The Y chromosome is passed directly from father to son, so analysis of genetic markers on the Y chromosome is especially useful for tracing relationships among males or for analyzing biological evidence involving multiple male contributors."
